We are Carmensa!

Carmensa was born inspired by Carmen Palencia, a wonderful woman who has dedicated her life to help other people and serve her family, specially through her kitchen.

Jose Manuel Hernandez, International Chef, pay a tribute to his grandmother Carmen as symbol of admiration for her effort and constant fight for her family. Him, next to Hugo Colman Ordaz, an engineer by profession, both Venezuelans and immigrants in New York City, decided to join their knowledge and found Carmensa, launching on their path to delight the palate of this city, which has many people from all over the world, with a gastronomic fusion that include platters from Venezuela, Italy and healthy dishes.
